John Stark StatueStark New Hampshire is located in the official tourist region know as the Great North Woods.  The Great North Woods is known as one of the most prestine locations for outdoor recreation in New Hampshire and New England!

Even though Stark is a small town with a population of around 550 residence, it is a very well known tourist destination.   It has rich history and plenty of outdoor recreation.  During the summer, spring and fall you can enjoy hiking and biking in Stark.   You can also enjoy fishing, boating and swimming in the Upper Ammonoosuc River or nearby at Christine Lake.  In the winter months, come enjoy snowmobiling, snowshoeing and icefishing in Stark.

You can visit our historic covered bridge, see the John Stark statue and the Stark Heritage Center. Stark is centered in  Nash Stream Forest, NH's largest state forest with over 39,000 acres.
